We all know we should eat a healthier diet. But with live as busy as it can be, there is little time left to make something healthy for dinner. Sit down with a healthy meal cookbook or search on the internet for meals your family will like. You will be surprised how many great tasting meals you can make that are good for you. Your family may not even realize they are eating healthier! Once you have planned your meals for the coming week or two, make a grocery list and go shopping. Make sure you include healthy snacks and treats on your list as well. Things like fresh fruit, whole grain breads, low fat yogurt and cottage cheese.

The beauty of this plan is you do as much of the preparation as possible in advance. You can make casseroles and other main dishes all on one day and then freeze them for later use.
